Hello everyone!

This is a portrait I've been working on for the past month of my dear friend,

. I was sitting, bored, and I pulled up a picture of my eye that I decided to doodle. Then I got in the MOOD.

So I pulled up this picture of her and started to sketch it. Then I decided it was too small, so I flipped the page over and drew an even bigger sketch.

And theeen I decided to try to color it because I had never done realism with a reference with color before. And then I decided to try to use as many colors as possible! XD

THUS, THIS IS MY CREATION.
It was so much fun to do and while it's not picture perfect, I'm really proud of the outcome. I'd love any tips or critiques you may have that will help me improve!

I actually entered this into the local spring fair(two years ago I submitted this drawing [link] LOL and got first place and best in category, so I have full confidence that I'll do well this time around as well.) This is a picture of it with the matting on back. It's off center! hrrr.. *too lazy to fix*

I haven't much time so the critique and comment is going to be short.

I really like it.There isn't much I see wrong with it, maybe it's because I'm not familiar with realistic drawings, but this is a lot better than anything I can remember myself doing. You've seem to have gotten the proportions right and the colouring/shading is awesome! So good job!
